Dear readers — in today’s members’ edition we have some great Post Picks (including some fantastic footage of Edwardian Liverpool), a round-up of news you should know about and a great in-depth piece about an educational black hole in our region that should be keeping local policymakers up at night.

In 2016, Knowsley’s last sixth form offering A-levels closed after a fall in student numbers meant keeping it open was no longer considered financially viable. Mollie went to meet the sixth formers travelling miles to study their A-levels.
