According to Tom Wood, every man, woman and child is a star
Dear members — no one knows the streets of Merseyside quite as well as Tom Wood. Born in Ireland, he spent decades bouncing between the clubs of New Brighton, the markets of Scottie Road and everywhere in between (especially on buses: the man loved a bus). Now 72 and widely considered a legendary figure, Wood’s biggest ever show has arrived at the Walker: Photieman — taken from the nickname he was affectionately awarded as he roamed the region, camera in hand.
