Before we get into it, thanks for all your kind words and tweets this week since we published our editor’s note about the challenge to independent journalism on Merseyside and why The Post will be different. Last week we had 189 paying subscribers supporting our mission, and now there’s 286 of you on our list. By the end of summer we’re looking to hit 500: if you’d like to help us grow, we’d love it if you could forward this newsletter to some friends and family who might enjoy our work.
