Dear members — today we have a lovely piece about a support group for young girls on Merseyside. Potential understatement of the year: puberty is not always a great time for mothers and daughters. The group — the only of its kind in the North West! — aims to bridge some of the emotional distance that can emerge from free-flowing hormones; a sudden yen for independence versus your mother’s instinct for protection, etc. Mollie met the group leader in New Brighton to talk about the importance of supporting young girls after the pandemic.
