Dear members — another Tuesday, another Post two-part special. Today’s edition is culture-centric. Mollie’s been chatting with Marc Gartland, a photographer whose pictures of the streets of Liverpool capture the quieter side of the city. Let’s face it, anyone who’s wandered through Concert Square on a Wednesday, let alone Friday night, wouldn’t exactly see Liverpool as an oasis of tranquillity. But Gartland’s work aims to escape the noise.
Then we’ve got a piece by Jack about Manifesto, a film that follows Liverpool’s socialist activists on the campaign trail in 2019, with a few reflections from filmmaker Daniel Draper. It came out a couple of months back but is still playing in various places.
