Less than 12 hours to go!
Our campaign comes to a close
Dear readers — whenever we get a new member, a little celebratory notification pops up in our work channel. For the past two weeks the actual conversations about work in said channel have been pretty hard to follow, given that whatever message I post has been immediately drowned out by new signups.
We set out to add 300 backers in two weeks in order to raise around £20,000 – roughly paying off our final legal bill from having spent a year defeating Laurence Westgaph in court (at a total cost of £75,000). Here’s all the details about that if you need them. I’m writing this short note on Friday evening, with the counter standing at 277. By the time you receive it we may already be there. To which I say: Hell yeah!

There are now less than twelve hours left in our campaign. That gives you less than half a day to join for the discounted rate of £4.50 for your first two months and run the counter up as high as possible.
The fact that so many of you have backed us already, and that we’ve been able to reach (hopefully!) what we all felt internally was a pretty lofty target, not to mention all the extremely kind emails and comments you’ve sent us in the past two weeks, has been genuinely heart-warming. We’ll stop mentioning him now, but what I will say one last time is that the whole ordeal was a nightmare at times, truly stressful and ludicrously expensive. To those of you that have rallied around us: We cannot thank you enough.
If you believe in what we’re doing, and you think being a Post member would add some value to your life – helping you to be more informed and feel more connected to this city – then please join up now and let’s end this campaign on a high. The button below will work until midnight.
On top of that, you’ll be paying for an extra special privilege: We’ll never mention the name Laurence Westgaph again…
With huge thanks,
Abi
