Not about Everton (although an excellent read).

I really love your journalism. It's fresh - really is - and all of your writing team are clearly allowed to do just that: gather, check, and then report in a writing style this area has been begging for.

A very contented subscriber.

Hi Jack.

Still enjoying your output. But I have a big "but" which may not be relevant to you.

I am very much a fan of the Post and have been encouraging friends to subscribe, as I do.

But I will stop, very shortly, if you carry on saying "the" Wirral.

You might think this is a disputed term, and it is indeed - a dispute between the stupid.

You don't report on The Liverpool (unless it's the pub next to James Street station). You don't refer to The Manchester, The Chester, The London, or The Macclesfield, The Salford, The Alderley Edge.

It is Wirral, not "the" Wirral. If you must use the "the", finish off the phrase with "peninsula".

Or better still, just don't.

Seems that the Media in general are a bit split here, and can't make their minds up which is the bigger story, or to be more precise, which crisis they can make look more dramatic The - ALLEGED - shady finances behind Everton, or the apparent "crisis" Liverpool are currently suffering, just waiting for further action from Richard Kemp to make some kind of allegations about more misdeeds, in order to seize the spotlight back away from the football.

Incidentally, an interesting query regarding the interview with Joe Anderson, when he talks about regretting passing his legal bills for the unfair dismissal case onto Liverpool City Council, Can they pursue any kind of claim for repayment?

Re. Joe Anderson no I don't think so, his argument was that he regrets how it looks but ultimately he undertook the action on the advice of council officers (who, in his telling, thought it would set a bad precedent for a sitting mayor to be sacked from a job - they believed unfairly - and not fight the case)
