Good luck LIsa. After discovering the Post I stopped buying the Echo earlier this year for the very reasons you highlighted. I am happy to pay to read the well researched and interesting articles that the Post provides and I look forward to reading yours.

Congratulations Lisa! I spent a brief spell on the duck bus too, quite an experience... Can't wait to read your work, your pieces in the Echo really stood out.
Welcome Lisa, to a community of like minded people who devour real and well researched local news. Can’t wait to read your articles. Must say if your introduction doesn’t attract more paying subscribers for the Post I don’t know what will.
I'll never forget the look of HORROR on my [SJ] Head's face when I told him I'd thought of using my language skills in Journalism. "Career Guidance" didn't EXIST in 1969 and he'd "assumed" I was a 'shoo-in' as a Teacher ..... I spent almost 30 years proving him Wrong at the Blackboard Jungle throughout Europe (I'm native fluent in 4 languages ...) but I still reckon Journalism would have been a more enjoyable route ...
I applaud your decision to join The Post at a time when the shifting sands of journalism has never been so fluid locally, nationally and globally. I hope you will play your part in helping this paper to grow into the kind of media outlet people of this city can rely on and be truly proud of.

Good luck - 500 Wirral Globes seems an AWFUL lot
It was an education all of its own! Thanks for the best wishes, looking forward to being part of the team.
Good luck, Lisa. Hoping your appointment brings a focus on important Wirral stories somewhat lacking at the moment
Welcome aboard, Lisa!
