Oh no not again. I can see it now Women's Hospital merges with the Royal , with fewer beds and complacent claptrap about community care. Are we going to have corridors full of women in labour tended to by ragged stressed out staff? The powers that be are very enthusiastic about closing hospitals and hoping people will eat museli and brown rice and log into Zoom to see a stressed out medic with 20 screens to tend to. The result is mass parked ambulances which senior management can bury heads in the sand. Hospital with STAFF and PLENTY OF BEDS are the ONLY WAY. Not cheap skate "community (non existent) solutions. Fewer beds is a failure and a recipe for disaster.
