A quick note on this week’s Post

Dear members — Jack here with a quick note about this week's Post.

First and foremost, I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend and that whatever plans you made were not completely spoiled but the lack of Post in your inboxes on Thursday or Saturday. I’ve returned home for a few days (to Thanet. Think: 13 year olds smoking weed under a seaside bandstand) which has meant a momentarily reduced schedule. Normal service will resume later in the week, I promise!

A combination of Sophie, our star editor, being off ill last week and the fact that we’ve been taking on a lot of large-scale investigative pieces that are bubbling away in the background — and which we can’t wait for you to read — has meant the last few weeks have been really full on. As such, we decided a short break over Easter to recharge was in order. We’ve also just finished the interview process for our new hire, so (subject to notice periods) we should be making an addition very soon.
